Capelli Sport and the Senegal Basketball Federation Unite in Landmark Multi-Year Partnership

New York, NY / Dakar, Senegal — [February 27, 2026] — Capelli Sport, the global sportswear brand headquartered in New York City, today announced a multi-year partnership with the Senegal Basketball Federation (FSBB), naming Capelli Sport the Official Apparel Partner of Senegal Basketball. The collaboration brings together a rapidly expanding international performance brand with one of Africa’s most respected and accomplished basketball federations.

Under the agreement, Capelli Sport will outfit Senegal’s men’s, women’s, and youth national teams with on-court competition kits, training apparel, and travel wear. The partnership officially launches on the international stage with Senegal debuting Capelli Sport kits during the Basketball Africa League (BAL)season beginning in March 2026. The new partnership was previewed earlier this year when Senegal wore Capelli Sport during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 African Qualifiers match on February 26, 2026.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to high performance, resilience, and long-term athlete development — from elite senior programs to the next generation of Senegalese basketball talent. Capelli Sport will provide comprehensive support, leveraging its global resources and expertise to ensure Senegal’s national teams are equipped to compete at the highest international level.

Makhtar Ndiaye, General Manager of the Sengal Basketball Federation, said:
“Partnering with Capelli Sport marks an important milestone for Senegalese basketball. We are excited to align with a global brand that shares our ambition, our commitment to excellence, and our vision for growth. Together, we look forward to elevating our national teams and inspiring the next generation of athletes in Senegal and across Africa.”

As part of the collaboration, Capelli Sport will work closely with the federation to design modern, high-performance jerseys and apparel that reflect Senegal’s national identity and culture. Each kit features bespoke detailing and federation-driven customization, incorporating national colors, crest treatments, and performance-driven fabric engineering to meet the physical demands of international competition while honoring the pride and unity of Senegalese basketball.

For fans and supporters, official replica jerseys will be made available for purchase through exclusive retailers globally, providing an opportunity for supporters around the world to wear Senegal’s colors with pride.

On behalf of George Altirs, CEO & Founder of Capelli Sport our Asia & Africa president, Charbel Raad, said:
“We are honored to partner with the Senegal Basketball Federation and to stand alongside a program that represents resilience, passion, and unity. This partnership goes beyond a logo on a jersey — it is a shared commitment to performance, strength, and belief in the talent of Senegal’s athletes. We are committed to supporting not only the senior national teams, but also the youth who represent the future of Senegalese basketball. From today forward, we are joining the players, coaches, staff, and fans as one team, working together toward sustained international success.”

The partnership officially launches during the 2026 international competition season, with Capelli Sport-branded kits debuting across national teams at upcoming international fixtures, training camps, and federation events.
